It seems, like a lot of the bugs reported, it just fixes itself on game completion. I can now go faster than 49km/h and I just beat the Bakuon Rairyu boss Shungiku. POST-GAME EDIT (29.12.21): So I finally got around to finishing the game and this bug (at least for me) is fixed. This is super frustrating because I feel like I need the biker gang to progress in the last two clubs I have (boxing club is stuck and I can't even unlock the last one). I didn't even get a chance to boost because by the time the first gauge had filled I'd already lost. I'd love a solution.ĮDIT: A follow up - I completely upgraded the DLC bike and yeah, the speed is as you said: 49km/h pre-boost. It's so frustrating because I've upgraded the DLC bike quite a lot and I should be able to beat him but I can't, it's like the guy's on speed or something - he goes insanely fast and I don't even have a chance to attack the other bikers.
